My passion for mental health began with a personal loss in childhood. That early grief led me to therapy, where I found healing and a renewed sense of purpose. As a military spouse, I’ve faced the challenges of frequent transitions and uncertainty, which deepened my empathy for human vulnerability and the strength found in seeking support. Through these seasons of grief and growth, I discovered my calling to walk alongside others in their healing journeys.
Today, I strive to offer the same compassionate, non-judgmental care that once helped me heal. I pursued psychology and counseling to give back in a meaningful way, guided by a holistic, person-centered approach that values mind, body, spirit, and environment. At New Horizons Behavioral Health, our mission is restoring lives through compassionate care, and I am committed to creating a safe, supportive space where individuals can explore their stories, reclaim their strength, and reconnect with purpose.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider in Tennessee, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. My academic journey includes an Associate of Arts in General Studies (Brevard Community College, 2010), a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (University of North Florida, 2012), and a Master of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Professional Counseling (Grand Canyon University, 2021). In 2025, I earned a Doctor of Philosophy in General Psychology with an emphasis in Cognition and Instruction from Grand Canyon University.
My professional background includes providing intensive outpatient services to individuals, families, and groups, both in-person and virtually. I am dedicated to fostering resilience and empowering clients to achieve meaningful personal growth.
Outside of my professional role, I am a proud mother to four amazing children and a supportive spouse to my husband, who serves in the military. I enjoy cooking, dancing, music, reading, and traveling, and I consider myself a lifelong learner—having spent over 23 years in formal education. My passion for continuous learning fuels my commitment to staying informed and equipped to serve my community with excellence and compassion.
